So, what happened at the CDIS event...
It was a smashing success! Walking into the room was incredible, people kept saying, "it feels like family in here." Your first step was entering the beautifully decorated room onto the royal purple runner that led you to your seat or to the delicious food, you could shop at the vendor tables. and listen to the live entertainment. The stars of the show were the 7 CDIS WOY showered with praise by a video presentation featuring poetry, singing and beautiful picture collages.

CDIS WOY were selected from Tampa Fl and Cincinnati OH. There were two categories being celebrated, Social Entrepreneurs and Non-Profits. Five of the women were Honorees, and two of the women were Awardees. All of the women were honored as Woman of the Year with a plaque and gift bag. Each Awardee received the Medina Siddiqqi Sista's In Action Grant for $500.00. The CDIS WOY approached the stage to their personalized them song and accepted their shower of praise with grace.
